Flint Hill United Methodist Church knows that the children and youth of today are tomorrow’s leaders. With that in mind, the church is reaching out to the children and youth through new programs.

The children’s program, under the direction of Cindi Blair, has undergone a complete “face lift” and has implemented “The Bible Zone.”

“Children today are used to changing tasks quickly, receiving information quickly and being entertained,” Blair said. “With this in mind, we decided to use a modified rotation model on Sunday mornings.”

On Sunday mornings a biblical topic is taught in a variety of ways.

Groups of students rotate to a different room each Sunday. In each room, the topic will be taught in different ways including storytelling, drama, music, crafts, cooking science labs and movies. By the end of the month, the child will have heard the same Bible story presented in six to eight different ways.

The Bible Zone meets each Sunday at 9:45 a.m.
